My wonderful husband gave his full support for Peyton and I to escape to the East Coast for 3 whole weeks during Harvest. Of course we missed him tons, but it was a fantastic trip. We spent the first half at Grandma and Grandpa's house where we enjoyed relaxing, shopping at lots of malls, going to the many play grounds, and eating at yummy places. Peyton enjoyed exploring all Grandma's treasures and playing with tons of new toys. It was so fun to watch Peyton interact and enjoy many special moments with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Heather.
Grandma and Grandpa were happy to give their grand-daughter her first zoo experience at a small zoo close to where I grew up in NJ. We saw bears, monkeys, horses, a bald eagle, a cougar, and other cool animals and ate up the perfect fall day. Peyton enjoyed the monkeys, but probably her favorite was the horse (I guess it's what she is used to seeing)
Peyton loves babies, especially pushing them in her stroller. She was super happy about her new doll from Grandma. Grandma even found a baby stroller for a $1 at a garage sale for our visit(gotta love grandmas)! She initiated and sat on Aunt Heather's lap reading stories a number of times, which was so precious. Heather was so sweet with her niece and Peyton appreciated the special time with her.
We walked down town for ice cream one day and Peyton was in pure heaven. She doesn't get ice cream due to her milk allergy, but we got her some Mango sorbet and as you can see she thought it was delightful!
After NJ, we were off to Florida where we met up with my sister and her crew. Peyton seemed to remember the place from a few months ago and adjusted well, especially because she had her cousins there.
City Place is always a must on the trip as the fountains, the restaurants, and the overall feel is just "Florida" heaven for me. We went to Cheesecake factory.
Peyton got drenched in the fountains. The girls also enjoyed throwing pennies in the fountains and dancing around the courtyard.

Grandma with her "first" girls! Cheryl and I were so grateful my Mom could join us on our trip. It was so nice to have her there to help with Peyton and to spend more quality time with her.
Outside Banana Boat, another fun restaurant we often go to where we sit outside and watch the boats go by as we eat dinner.
These girls were priceless every time I looked at them. They got compliments left and right from people at the Ritz about how darling they were. They played so well together. Kylee was Peyton's little mommy all week. I wished I could have taken her home with me, because Peyton was as happy as could be as long as Kylee was around. In the car, in the pool, at the beach ... it didn't matter where we were or what we were doing I heard squeals of delight and laughter and tons of smiles from Peyton. I still on a daily basis here Kylee's name from Peyton a month and a half later. It doesn't matter how far apart they live, cousins have a natural bond I've decided.

Peyton puts on a pretty good show when you get the camera out, so we all did her famous "monkey lips" face and her "cheeser" face with her.
Aunt Cheryl, being the prepared Mom that she is, supplied fun toys for the girls to play with every day at the pool which kept them content for hours.
The ocean was more like a lake most of the time we were there, making it perfect for the little kids. Peyton loved jumping over the little waves that there were though and seemed to have no fears of either the pool or the ocean.

Uncle Skylar built quite the sand castle with the girls. Peyton had Kylee and Lexi on either side of her holding her hands most of the time. It was darling and she loved it.
The last few days in Florida Hayley, and Erin and her little boy joined me. They are such awesome friends and it was so great to catch up with them.
Peyton of course enjoyed having a "baby" around although they are quite similar in age. She enjoyed the playmate.

Another post that I would like to just cut and paste part of onto my blog...or then again lets just go back. What a perfect time. Glad we get to see you for Christmas too.
