The Holidays

The day after Thanksgiving, Rupert kicks off the Christmas Holiday with the lighting of our town square and Caring and Sharing which is the festival of trees. Every year we go into town and eat at Docs Pizza, see the lights, Santa, and fireworks and then walk over to the festival of trees. This year however, Taylor was successful is shooting an Elk that day and the temperature was freezing so things were a bit different. Yes my husband shot an Elk! (and now we have the meat in our freezer) While Taylor's Dad and Taylor worked on the Elk the girls ate at Docs and Paul and Taylor met up with us there a bit later. We didn't make the fireworks, but did enjoy the festival of trees for a while. It is beautiful and really well done! Definitely kicks off the Christmas season well.
Here's our little cutie rocking her pigtails which her hair is finally long enough for!
Part of Caring and Sharing is the Teddy Bear Breakfast where you have breakfast and can visit with Santa. Peyton was not a fan of Santa as you can see. Literally she was shaking. She will learn that Santa is really fabulous soon! Meanwhile the poor girl had a pretty sad few minutes!
