Grant - 6 Months

It seems as though Grant was just born and he is already 6 months old. We couldn't imagine life without our little boy. He brings smiles to all of our faces on a daily basis. He is smiley, rolls all over the place, sits up great, puts everything and anything in his mouth, and his first teeth just popped through the gums (top two). At Grant's 6 month check up he was in the 50th percentile for weight (apparently it's all in the cheeks) and in the 75th percentile for height. He is a healthy, darling boy!

 Grant has had some tough times adjusting to the crazy mortal life. He was colicky from 2 to 4 months making evenings quite difficult. He would cry and cry and struggling to nurse until finally giving in at about 11. Once asleep though, he fortunately would do very well only waking up once to eat and often going until 5 or 6 in the morning to do so. Around 4 months the evenings and nursing became better, but he still was not very content especially when he was put down. He has since flipped the switch and is happy now. He is smiley and plays independently. He loves being thrown in the air, flipped upside down, thrown on the bed, and being outside. Our struggle right now is SLEEP or lack thereof. Grant wakes up 3 times a night most nights not to eat, although he is soothed within seconds and back to sleep if you let him do so, and is not a great napper either. He goes to sleep well without fighting it but wakes up prematurely. Hopefully this will change soon. We still love the boy like crazy.

Grant looks just like his Daddy, which is a good thing I think! Peyton gets him to laugh and smile better than anyone and truly loves having him around. He is adorable and we are so grateful for him!
