Christmas

My sister and her crew found themselves coming to Rupert again for a few days after spending Christmas in Logan with Skylar's family, which I was so grateful for. We tried showing them a fun time so they will keep coming back. Although the conditions weren't good, we went snow mobiling and got a small taste of how fun snow mobiling can be.
We of course spent time enjoying the pool and toys at Paul and Kathy's house. It is quite nice to have a bath tub warm pool to play in when it is freezing outside.
We took opportunities to hang out and let the girls interact as that is always a treat to watch. I put Peyton in Lexi's bed with her just before bedtime to see what Peyton would do and let Lexi say goodnight. Peyton kept taking the binkie out of Lexi's mouth (yes that should be the other way around, but it's ok Cheryl) which made both of them crack up laughing. A few cute cuddles were given too.
Let's not forget the dance parties. There were not many moments when we were at our house when the stereo was not on and kids were dancing. Peyton tried to keep up, but couldn't quite compete with her cousins cool attire, especially their silky scarves around their heads and fantastic moves. Lexi and Kylee are always entertaining to have around.
We couldn't let Cheryl and Skylar come to the farm without getting a little more education of what goes on here in good old Rupert. We let the girls climb on the mountain of potatoes in the Duncan's potato cellars and took everyone on a tour of Mart Produce, the potato packaging plant. We all found it pretty amazing the amount of potatoes that are packaged each day and how the whole process works. Thanks Cheryl and Skylar for all your efforts to visit us. It was so nice to see some of my family too over the holidays.
We spent Christmas with the Duncan family this year and were spoiled rotten as always. Peyton decided she was not going to let a year go by without waking up early and getting Christmas day rolling. The clock struck 6:30 AM and we were ready to go. We showed up to the Duncan's in our matching Pajama Grams that Kathy gave to the whole family. Peyton's won the cute award though of course.
Peyton got her first Pony! We still need to work on them getting along though. She was a little scared that the pony made noises. I am sure she will love it though very soon.
Check out those jammies, especially Peyton's bum!
Peyton had a couple funny expressions over the course of the morning. She enjoyed tearing the wrapping paper off a few presents. She loves her new books and toys. Thanks Santa (ie Nana and Papa) for eveything!
