Cheryl and Her Girls Come to Rupert

My sister came to town with her girls for a few days and we were so excited and thankful for her efforts to visit us that we didn't let a minute go by that was not filled with fun. We packed in the exciting activities and although tired at the end of each day and for sure by the end of the weekend, we sure made some awesome memories!
We kicked off their visit with going to a bounce house in Burley where the girls went from slide to slide and house to house. There are also rooms filled with toys at this place that they enjoyed exploring and playing with.

We went swimming at my in-laws pool, which is always a blast. Peyton is getting more independent in the pool. She kicks around in her little tube, jumps off the stairs, and has begun swimming with water wings on too. It is so great that she doesn't have a fear of water.

We had a little chill time in the evenings while getting ready for bed. The girls had a sleepover in Peyton's room (her first sleepover). Although a little difficult to fall asleep, since Peyton likes to talk or sing and takes a long time to settle, it was successful. They were sure cute reading books, chatting, and singing songs. They even had matching Rapunzel night gowns that they wore for bed a few nights.

Not only did they have matching night gowns, but they had matching Rapunzel shirts too. On Sunday afternoon, our relax day, they all dressed the same. We played in the rice bucket, danced, played at Paul and Kathy's house, played games in Peyton's tent and just enjoyed being together.
One of the highlights of Cheryl, Kylee, and Lexi's visit was getting the opportunity to ride horses. My friend Cortney was so nice to let us ride her horses. The girls loved it. Peyton on almost a daily basis asks to ride horses, so she was thrilled to get to do it again. Kylee even was able to trot and gallop on a horse by herself which was a wish come true for her.

Taylor's family got a new boat this year. Although we have had unusually cool temperatures and crazy winds this spring, the weekend Cheryl was here was actually warm and we were able to take the boat out for a spin. The girls in their jammies.
These were taken right before Cheryl and the girls left. We were sad to see them go. There is nothing like family and cousins!!!! It is so hard to live so far away. Peyton has such a special relationship with these 2 girls just as I have with my sister. She asks to skype or call Kylee and Lexi most days and literally jumps for joy when I tell her we get to see them as well as being purely delighted every minute they are together. We are sure thankful that despite the distance between us we have pulled off seeing each other every few months this year.

Your little boy is just darling Laura, hopefully we get to meet him sometime soon :-) I know what you mean about living far from everyone! It really makes you appreciate the times you do get to see family. Love ya cous!
